Transparency or Backroom Deals? The Abbott-Musk Connection Demands Answers

As a lawsuit forces a look into communications between the Governor's office and Elon Musk, Texans are left wondering who is actually running our state: the people or private interests?
The recent lawsuit filed by State Representative Gina Hinojosa seeking to review communications between Governor Greg Abbott and Elon Musk is a stark reminder of the opaque nature of our current state government. While the political establishment engages in partisan theater, the fundamental issue remains: the people of Texas are being kept in the dark regarding the influence of private interests on our public policy. Whether it is the Governor’s office or the opposition, both sides of the aisle have proven themselves more interested in protecting their own power structures than in upholding the transparency required by a free republic. The Constitution Party of Texas believes that government accountability is not a suggestion; it is a requirement. When public officials hide their dealings with corporate titans, they violate the sacred trust placed in them by the citizens of this state. We do not need more backroom deals or secret negotiations that prioritize special interests over the needs of Texas families. We need a return to the original intent of our Constitution, where elected officials serve as humble stewards of the public interest, not as facilitators for the elite. Jenn Mack, our endorsed candidate for Governor, has made government accountability a cornerstone of her platform. She understands that a government that operates in the shadows is a government that has forgotten its master. It is time to end the era of political machines and restore a government that is transparent, ethical, and beholden only to the people of Texas. Do not settle for the status quo of either major party. Join us in demanding a government that works for you.
