Federal Overreach: Courts Block Texas Border Security Efforts

The sovereignty of Texas is under constant assault, not just from the crisis at our border, but from the federal judiciary that seeks to strip us of our right to self-defense. As of October 2, 2026, a federal judge has issued an order temporarily blocking the construction of border wall infrastructure in the Big Bend region. This is a clear violation of the 10th Amendment and a direct affront to the safety and security of every Texan. While the federal government fails to fulfill its primary duty to protect our borders, it simultaneously works to prevent Texas from taking the necessary steps to protect its own citizens. This is the definition of government overreach. We cannot rely on the establishment parties to solve this, as they have presided over this decline for decades. The Constitution Party of Texas believes that the state has an inherent, sovereign right to defend its territory. We do not need permission from Washington to protect our families and our property.
