Bureaucracy in Action: Another Day of Spending Your Tax Dollars

As the HHSC Executive Council prepares to meet tomorrow, Texans must demand transparency and fiscal restraint. It is time to stop the cycle of runaway government spending.

On September 17, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Executive Council will convene to discuss agency updates, including SNAP programs and Legislative Appropriations Requests. While these meetings are presented as routine administrative business, they represent the machinery of a state government that has grown far beyond its constitutional mandate. For too long, Texans have watched as their hard-earned tax dollars are funneled into expanding bureaucracies that prioritize agency growth over the needs of the families they are meant to serve. The Constitution Party of Texas believes in fiscal integrity and limited government. We reject the notion that the state should be the primary provider for every aspect of life, a philosophy that has led to bloated budgets and a loss of personal responsibility. True prosperity in Texas will not come from more government programs or higher appropriations; it will come from restoring the sanctity of the family, protecting our property rights, and ensuring that our state government operates with the restraint envisioned by our founders. Jenn Mack, our endorsed candidate for Governor, understands that the path forward requires a fundamental shift in how we view the role of the state. Her platform of government accountability and Texas-first leadership is the antidote to the status quo. We cannot continue to rely on the same political establishment that oversees this endless expansion. It is time for a change that puts the power back in the hands of the people. We invite you to join us in this mission.
